How to Use This Breeding Calculator
About This Calculator
The Palworld Breeding Calculator is the ultimate tool for planning your Pal bloodlines. Any two Pals can breed — the offspring is determined by the average of both parents' Breeding Power values.
Use the Forward tab (Parents → Offspring) to see what two Pals produce. Use the Reverse tab (Target → Parents) to find which parents can breed a specific Pal.
With 299 Pals and thousands of possible combinations, mastering breeding is the fastest way to obtain rare and legendary Pals without fighting them directly.
How to Use the Breeding Calculator
Pick a male Pal in the left selector and a female Pal in the right selector. The calculator instantly shows the offspring with its Breeding Power, element, stats, and a link to the full Pal page.
Switch to the Reverse tab, select your target Pal. The calculator finds all parent pairs whose average Breeding Power is closest to your target's, ranked by accuracy.
Understand the core breeding rules: offspring is the Pal with Breeding Power closest to the parents' average. Passive skills inherit randomly. Cake is mandatory.
Repeatedly breed while selecting offspring with better passives. Backcross (offspring with parent) to lock specific traits. Check our Advanced Breeding Guide for step-by-step instructions.
Popular Pals to Breed
Breeding Calculator FAQ
Can any two Pals breed?
Yes. Every Pal in Palworld can breed with any other Pal. There are no species restrictions — the offspring is purely determined by Breeding Power average.
How do I breed Legendary Pals?
Catch one Legendary Pal first, then breed it with another. For Jetragon (Breeding Power 286), pair it with a high-power Pal whose average is close to 286. Check the Breeding Guide for detailed strategies.
Why does breeding give me a different Pal than expected?
Breeding was rebalanced in the 1.0 release. Some legacy combinations changed. Always verify with our updated calculator which is synced with the latest game data.
How do passive skills transfer through breeding?
Offspring randomly inherit passive skills from both parents' skill pools. Breed repeatedly to accumulate desirable traits. The Advanced Breeding Guide covers 4-gold-passive breeding in detail.
What Pals should I breed for base work?
Anubis (Handiwork Lv 6, Mining Lv 6) and Astegon (Mining Lv 7) are top-tier base workers. Both can be bred from common Pals without catching them directly.
